Serving Our Community

Manna Food Bank

Capital Rivers Church works  in partnership with Manna Food Center to help glorify God by giving to the poor and needy in our communities. Manna Food Center's origins reflect the shared efforts of the community, civic and faith leaders to establish a centralized food back for Montgomery County. We collect non-perishable food items during our services on the 3rd Sunday of the month (except for November and December).

Shepherd's Table

Capital Rivers Church sends groups monthly to assist in Shepherd's Table's Brunch Service on the 2nd Saturday of the month.  Volunteers set up the dining room, help with food prep, serve meal, wash dishes and help clean the kitchen and dining room area after the meal.  The minimum age for volunteers is 13, accompanied by an adult. Volunteers age 16 and above can volunteer on their own.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Capital Rivers Church will be continuing our partnership with local organizations again this year to provide Thanksgiving Food Baskets for needy families. We are still in a period of recovery from COVID-19 and many families need help now, more than ever. Thank you for your help providing Thanksgiving meals for families in Montgomery County and the surrounding area! We exceeded our goal and collected 122 baskets!

THANK YOU

Toy Drive

Capital Rivers Church will be continuing our partnership with local organizations again this year to provide Toys for needy children through Montgomery County, Prince George's County and DC. Your generous donations can make a holiday wish come true for a child or teen. We far exceeded our goal and we are so thankful for your help!
